Secondary School
At St Columba College, our Secondary School provides a seamless and supportive learning journey from Year 6 to Year 12. Building on strong foundations established in the Primary years, students engage with a dynamic curriculum delivered by expert subject teachers in contemporary learning environments.
Innovative Learning Spaces
Secondary students learn in purpose-built spaces designed to support collaboration, creativity and academic excellence. The recently opened Moville Building (2024) offers state-of-the-art classrooms and breakout areas that foster flexibility and engagement.
Looking ahead, the Clonard Building (opening in 2026) will further enhance our learning environment with specialist Science laboratories and cutting-edge facilities for Secondary education.

A Personalised and Purposeful Education
Students are challenged and supported through lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum and South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). Our Learning Area Leaders work with teaching staff to maximise learning outcomes through data-informed practices and targeted support.
Throughout the Secondary years, students are empowered to develop independence and purpose in their learning. In the senior years, they can tailor their pathways through a wide range of SACE and Vocational Education and Training (VET) options, preparing them for university, further education or the world of work.

Wellbeing, Faith and Belonging
At the heart of Secondary education at St Columba is a commitment to Learning, Wellbeing and Faith. Students participate in Daily Admin each morning, fostering strong connections across year levels within their House. This time provides consistent pastoral support, a sense of belonging, and opportunities for mentoring, academic check-ins, and communication between school and home.
A range of wellbeing programs supports students’ development throughout adolescence. These are grounded in the principles of positive education, helping students recognise their strengths, build resilience, and grow in optimism and self-belief as they prepare for life beyond school.

Student Life
Beyond the classroom, students engage in a vibrant Student Life program that nurtures their passions and leadership. Opportunities include performing arts, interschool sport, music ensembles, College productions, debating, clubs, and more. These experiences build confidence, foster community and contribute to the holistic development of every young person.
