Stage 1 Textiles and Fashion
In Stage 1 Textiles and Fashion, students immerse themselves in the design and realisation process. Students will develop skills through the production of a garment such as a hooded jumper or bucket hat. They then investigate possible design solutions to produce a garment of their own choice and reflect on skills that will need further development. The course emphasises design, textile functionality, evaluation, independent and teacher-guided construction time as well as commercial construction techniques.
