Scholarships
As a College community, we are forever looking forward. We constantly seek to enhance our environment and to expand our physical and intellectual boundaries, by striving to create first-class facilities and establish new campuses to accommodate an ever-growing number of students.

Our Scholarships are designed to support academically talented students who seek a pathway to significant post-school study.

The Barbara Brown Scholarship

This Scholarship, provided by the College and named in honour of its first bursar, is awarded every year to the Dux of Year 11 for study in Year 12 at St Columba College. The scholarship covers all tution fees for Year 12.

The 2013 holder of the Barbara  Brown Scholarship is Kaysee Watson.




The Alan Hickinbotham Scholarship


The Alan Hickinbotham Scholarship is St Columba College’s prestigious scholarship. It covers the cost of all academic fees and comes with a bursary to cover the cost of books and/or uniforms. The Scholarship is awarded once every two years. 

An applicant  for this Scholarship must be a resident of the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide. It is not  necessary for the applicant to be a student of St Columba College.

While there are no exams related to this scholarship, applicants must prepare a 500 word statement on their ambitions for society and the future. This is then followed by an interview conducted by the Principal and the Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship is awarded on the basis of displayed merit.

The Scholarship winner for 2012/13 is St Columba College Year 12 student Henry Preen.
