St Columba College, Australia’s first joint Anglican Catholic educational venture, was established in 1997 as part of the ecumenical vision of Adelaide’s Anglican Archbishop, Ian George and Adelaide's Catholic Archbishop, Leonard Faulkner.
Our motto, "Unity in Faith" reflects our core value.
In 1997 the College opened as a Primary School consisting of just over 200 students and twelve staff. It was established in the newly formed northern suburb of Andrews Farm on land provided by the Hickinbotham Group.
Today the College hosts three distinct sections: Primary, Middle and Senior with over 1400 students and 160 staff. While being a large College, students work within one of the three smaller sections. This provides students with a setting where each individual is known and appreciated for 'who' they are. Whilst primarily a local College, its reputation attracts students from an ever expanding catchment.
The College prides itself on its ability to cater for a wide range of students; those aspiring to higher education, those seeking an immediate career pathway and those with special needs. The College is proud of its SACE results which demonstrate the commitment of students and staff.
St Columba is renowned for its ability to cater for the social, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of its community while insisting on high standards and on student success. The College provides a happy environment.
St Columba takes pride in knowing it has “people at the heart”.
